David Beckham and his business partners celebrated in style after meeting to finalise plans for the launch of their new Miami Major League Soccer team at the weekend. The retired footballer enjoyed an evening out with partners Marcelo Claure and Jorge Mas in Kansas City, where they sampled a number of wines up to the value of almost £5,000.

The father-of-four shared a photo of each of their tipples on Instagram Stories, starting with a glimpse of their 2010 Grands Échézeaux Domaine De La Romanee-Conti, which can sell for between £960 and £1,500 online. Tasting notes suggest that the wine is "totally weightless and beautiful" with flavours of crushed flowers, mint and sweet tobacco.

David later shared a photo of himself standing alongside Marcelo and Jorge, adding the caption: "Great dinner with friends Jorge & Marcelo." Meanwhile, Marcelo shared the same photo on Twitter, writing: "First owner meeting. #Miami here we come. Are you ready for us? #MiamiMLS."

STORY: David Beckham tucks into £300 meal at Michelin-star restaurant

Both David and his wife Victoria Beckham appear to have a taste for fine wines, and often share glimpses of the rare bottles they are enjoying together. Over their pre-Christmas holidays in the countryside that included a £300 bottle of Vega-Sicilia Unico 2005 wine. In October the couple also enjoyed an indulgent date night, where they splashed out almost £2,000 on a wine tasting session.

The 42-year-old enjoys fine dining too, and recently paid a visit to the triple Michelin-star Araki sushi restaurant in London, where the set menu costs £300 per head.
