Kanye West's four-minute monologue
It wouldn't be the VMAs without a
classic Kanye West moment. Before presenting his new video,
Fade, the rapper delivered a speech touching upon his feud with
Taylor Swift, his controversial song
Famous, the murder rates in Chicago and his personal role models.
"But if you think about last week, there were 22 people murdered in Chicago. You know, like, people come up to me like, ‘Yeah, that’s right! Take Taylor!’ But bro, like, I love all y’all. That’s why I called her," he said at one point. Kim's husband also stated, "My role models are artists, merchants. There’s less than ten that I can name in history. Truman. Ford. Hughes. Disney. Jobs. West."
