CNN's Van Jones eloquently takes on the election results
As the numbers began to shift in Trump's favor, one of CNN's lead analysts addressed the election results and how parents should discuss them with their children.
"You tell your kids don't be a bully, you tell your kids don't be a bigot... and then you have this outcome," an emotional Van said early Wednesday morning. "You have people putting children to bed tonight and they are afraid of breakfast. They're afraid of 'How do I explain this to my children?'I have Muslim friends who are texting me tonight, 'Should I leave the country?' I have families of immigrants that are terrified tonight... And that's the part where the pain comes. Donald Trump has a responsibility tonight to come and reassure people that he is going to be the president of all the people who he insulted and offended and brushed aside."
Celebrities and social media users commended Van for his comments. Actress Rashida Jones tweeted, "Well put, @VanJones68 Thank you for articulating so well at a moment when most of us can't. Please watch this."

What a great country this is that gives us the freedom to express our differences, our opinions, our hopes and our fears.
