June 4: The One Love Manchester concert was going to go in a more somber direction until Ariana spoke with the mother of Olivia, a 15-year-old killed during the attack. She told her that her daughter would want her to plays the hits, so she did just that.
Ariana took the stage several times throughout the night and was joined by boyfriend Mac Miller, Miley Cyrus, the Black Eyed Peas and Coldplay in addition to a slew of others who came in for night.
The 23-year-old singer closed the concert with a tearful rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. She also shared with the crowd, "I love you guys so much and I think that the kind of love and unity that you're displaying is the medicine the world really needs right now. So, I want to thank you for being just that."
