Supermodel Bianca Balti partnered with
Depop, a mobile selling app, to clean out her closet for a good cause! In October, the 33-year-old Sports Illustrated model put her items up for sale to benefit refugee families affected by the conflicts in Syria and Jordan.
Bianca, who is also known as the face of Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue fragrance, partnered with Depop to specifically raise funds for Lifeline Jordan, a UNHCR (UN Agency for Refugees) project. The pieces from her wardrobe that range from affordable to high-end vintage designer items with 100% of proceeds raised going to Lifeline Jordan are currently on sale.
“I got involvement with UNHCR when the humanitarian crisis in Syria started. Last year I hosted an event called 'A Piece Of Me For The Refugees' in Milan where I raised about 30,000 euros selling my clothes to benefit refugees," the Italian beauty tells HELLO!. "I decided to keep my commitment since the future of the refugees is more unstable now than ever with the new political policies in the USA. History teaches us that we could all be refugees at some point; losing everything and not knowing how to provide for your kids is heartbreaking. Refugees are everybody’s responsibility.”
