America's favourite blonde shared her moment of glory with a very British rose on Sunday night, after both Reese Witherspoon and Rachel Weisz were honoured at the Screen Actors Guild awards.
The Louisiana-born star picked up the best actress trophy for her performance in Walk The Line, while her English colleague, who recently landed a Golden Globe for her role in The Constant Gardener, was presented with another gong for the same film. "Sometimes, I can't just shake the feeling that I'm just a little girl from Tennessee," said Reese after receiving the award.
It wasn't only silver screen sirens who were enjoying the applause of their peers: Reese's husband Ryan Phillippe was likewise honoured, along with Matt Dillon and Thandie Newton, when the racially-charged drama Crash won the best ensemble cast category, beating out Ang Lee's Oscar-tipped romance Brokeback Mountain.
George Clooney meanwhile lost out to Cinderella Man's Paul Giamatti in the best supporting actor category, but that didn't stop the heart-throb actor enjoying himself as he was snapped sharing an embrace with Sandra Bullock.
Among the other famous faces given reason to celebrate were Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman, who won best actress in a comedy series, and Philip Seymour Hoffman, who took home the best actor trophy for Capote. Silver screen icon Shirley Temple Black, arguably the greatest child star of all time, meanwhile proved she had lost none of her charm when she took to the podium to receive a lifetime achievement award.
