R&B star Alicia Keys radiated star style on the red carpet this week as she attended the premiere of her new movie Smokin' Aces. Despite making her name in the music industry, she is now at home among the acting set - which includes her hunky co-star Ben Affleck - and is clearly a dab hand at movie star glam, wowing fans in a plunge-necked black dress.

The Fallin' singer, who was accompanied to the Hollywood screening by her boyfriend Kerry, flexes her thespian skills as a glamorous assassin in the film, which also stars Andy Garcia. And she will be on our screens in another flick this year, as Scarlett Johannsson's best friend in The Nanny Diaries.

Despite her rising profile on the silver screen, Alicia - who turns 27 this month - is determined to keep music her number one priority. "I need music - it helps me as a person. I'm working on my new album and I'm excited about it," she said recently, adding: "I've been close to acting since I was a little girl. It's always been a part of my life. I was just waiting for the right time."

Alicia wasn't the only leading lady lighting up the red carpet on Wednesday night. A satin-clad Juliette Binoche was at the New York premiere of her new flick Breaking And Entering. The French Chocolat star, who plays a Bosnian refugee mum in the movie, joined up with co-star Robin Wright Penn and supermodel Helena Christensen at the Paris Theatre venue.
