Annabel Giles has become the first contestant to be voted off I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! admitting that she felt like the "least popular girl in school".

The former model was placed in the bottom two against Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star Alfonso Ribeiro, but lost out in the public vote.

Annabel, who had survived just over a week in the Australian jungle, had previously said she didn't want to be the first to go but after 45 minutes of voting time, the British star was given the verdict.

"That's okay, I don't mind," said Annabel. "Alfonso, I'm sorry you don't get to see your baby - I'll say hi for you."

As the mother-of-two bid farewell to her campmates and walked the bridge to freedom, Annabel was met by her singer/songwriter daughter Molly McQueen and given a comforting hug.

"I feel like the least popular girl in the school, but that's okay," said Annabel, speaking to hosts Ant and Dec after her elimination.

"We keep finding little signs that it's not a level playing field and that Amy's playing a game," she said, referring to Miss Universe GB model Amy Willerton.

"She carries a massive handbag with her which we all suspect she carries piles of cosmetics in."

Earlier in the episode, tension was running high in camp as the other contestants found out that Amy was hiding "contraband" concealer, which would have consequences for the rest of the group.

"It was discussed that if you do have it then you should turn it in as soon as possible because it will only make you look bad if you didn't," Alfonso advised Amy.

"So someone said they saw it, and talked about it?" asked Amy. "That's not the point," said the American sitcom actor. "The point is that regardless who has seen it is up to you to turn it in."

Upset at being exposed, Amy vented her frustration in The Bush Telegraph .

"I feel extremely disappointed that whoever has mentioned about this contraband has done so while I was away," said the blonde beauty, who had been temporarily living in a separate camp with contestants Joey Essex and Kian Egan as camp saviours.

"It was a concealer that has been shared. I work in the modelling industry and compete in pageants and not once have I experienced cattiness like I have in here.

"And it is from women who are a lot older than me and it just makes me feel extremely disappointed," said Amy.

The last supper with all twelve contestants

As the twelve campmates sat down for their final dinner of crocodile chipolatas before the eviction, the atmosphere was bubbly with everyone happily chatting, singing and dancing apart from Amy.

"She's struggling, having a struggle day," said Alfonso. "It's interesting when you see a different side."

"The thing is with beautiful with women, unless you're comfortable in yourself - your looks only last so long, what happens then?" said fashion designer David Emmanuel.

"It's a shame when you see someone who on the exterior is a beautiful person but so insecure that it's so hard for them to see," agreed Alfonso.
