I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here contestant Jake Quickendenreceived happy news from home in Tuesday's episode, as he discovered he is to become an uncle for the first time.

The singer was told the news via a letter from his brother Adam and sister-in-law Mel, who are expecting their first child, which was read by Carl Fogarty.

"Fantastic, that one," said Jake's fellow contestant Foggy as he hugged Jake.

Six of the campmates received letters after their fellow campmates had to undertake a trail to obtain them. Edwina Currie read out Tinchy Stryder's letter from his mum, while Tinchy then read out Edwina Currie's from her husband.

Melanie Sykes had her letter from her children read by Jake, and the former TV personality burst into tears afterwards, while everyone laughed at Michael Buerk's letter from his grandchildren which read:

"We think you’re really daft and plonkerish doing this thing, but we are still very proud of you. "You were so brave doing sky diving. Although you’re being a dope, we still love you.

"Michael added: "Well that’s great, isn’t it? Everybody else gets this ‘you’re doing wonderfully,’ and all this kind of stuff!"

Nadia Forde, Kendra Wilkinson, and Vicki Michelle did not receive letters.

Elsewhere during the episode Michael and Vikki volunteered themselves for a trial, with Vikki telling camp: "I’m sort of looking forward to it in a sadistic kind of way.

"Just to get it over with.  Been there, done it, done that Trial, get through it", she added.

After the pair received seven stars after the challenge, Vikki told Ant and Dec: "Seven is brilliant. They’re probably thinking three from those two. Little do they know, Michael."

"Us pensioners," joked Michael.
