Kate Moss has teamed up with David Walliams for the TV adaptation of his book The Boy In The Dress, which will be broadcast on Boxing Day. In the first stills from filming for the drama, Kate can be seen dressed in a striking scarlet dress while taking part in a fashion shoot with her young co-star Billy Kennedy. Comedian and author David, who previously worked with Kate in a Comic Relief sketch last year, called in a favour from his supermodel friend to get her involved in the production.

"The Boy In The Dress has an all-star cast," said David. "But Kate Moss really is the icing on the cake." The Boy In The Dress tells the story of a young boy called Dennis, played by 13-year-old Billy, who is bored with his own uneventful life and loves the world of fashion. Dennis comes across Kate in a fantasy scene where the model cuts a dazzling figure in a Vivienne Westwood dress, David Morris shoes and diamonds and heels by Manolo Blahnik.

A programme insider told the Press Association: "Kate Moss was on amazing form on the day of filming. She came in with her agent and was just a dream to work with, she literally charmed everyone, especially our little star Billy Kennedy. It was a total coup to have her involved, thanks to her friend David Walliams putting in the ask." The Boy In The Dress, which follows two other Christmas adaptations of David's work Gangsta Granny and Mr Stink, also stars Jennifer Saunders, Meera Syal, Blackadder actor Tim McInnerny and The Inbetweeners' James Buckley. The Boxing Day programme will be screened at 6.55pm on BBC One.
