Jack O'Connell's win at the BAFTAs on Sunday was perhaps one of the most deserved of the night. As the 24-year-old's star has risen over the last few years, he has gone from his understated stunning performance in indie classic Starred Up to his work on Unbroken, the Hollywood blockbuster directed by Angelina Jolie.

But Jack is one of many that we should all keep our eyes on. Joining the Brit actor in our list of the rising stars from the world of film, are Taron Egerton, Lily James, and John Boyega.

John broke out in the 2011 film Attack The Block, and along with Daisy Ridley and Domnhall Gleeson, will see his profile increase exponentially when Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens is released later in 2015.

Domnhall also plays on his Irish heritage with the romantic comedy Brooklyn in 2015, starring Saorise Ronan, while Ex-Machina, which is currently in cinemas now, already has a spot on our top ten films for the year.

Lily James meanwhile, of Downton Abbey fame, will be stepping into the glass slippers in March with the release of the live-action retelling of Cinderella, and Taron Egerton, who stars in Kingsman: The Secret Service, will take on a former BAFTA Rising Star nominee Tom Hardy in the story of the Kray twins, Legend.

Supermodel Cara Delevingne is also looking set to expand her CV in 2015 with four projects due for release, including the adaptation of young adult bestseller Paper Towns, and Pan, the Peter Pan retelling with Hugh Jackman, while American newcomer Sofia Black D'Elia will star in sci-fi drama Project Almanac before taking on the behemoth of Ben-Hur with Oscar winner Morgan Freeman.

Rounding out our feature is Nat Wolff, who will be able to give his Paper Towns co-star Cara some tips on handling fans after starring in The Fault In Our Stars in 2014, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who despite losing out at this year's BAFTAs to Jack, looks set to see her star rise even further in the coming year with three widely different films.
