Martin Roberts has had a tricky start since entering the jungle earlier this week on I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, and broke down in tears in Sunday night's episode after a camp disagreement over his chores.

Although he began to day apologising to Danny Baker after their argument following the Hungry Games final, things soon became strained once more in the camp after the TV presenter ignored camp President Scarlett Moffatt's request for him to help out with the camp's water supply, leading Danny to step in.

After Carol and Lisa needed more water to do the washing after dinner, Scarlett suggested Martin help Adam carry the supply. After Martin ignored Scarlett's request, Danny said: "Martin, she's the President mate, whatever she says to do, you do it… you always answer her back like she's some silly kid and she isn't… She's smart as a whip, she shouldn't need me to step in but you do it too often. If she tells you to run down there and bring it up on the top of your head, then you run down there and bring it up on the top of your head, alright?."

The Homes Under the Hammer presenter initially defended himself, asking Scarlett if it was right that he wasn't being respectful. Scarlett replied: "Yeah it is, there is only so many times I can ask you politely." Martin seemed put out, replying: "I didn't realise I wasn't doing my bit, wow, okay I shall make amends." He then began to cry after most campers went to bed, and was joined by Wayne Bridge, Sam Quek and Scarlett who noticed he was upset. Speaking to Scarlett, Martin said: "Everyone thinks I'm treating you badly… I wasn't aware I was ignoring your requests, I apologise… Tomorrow's a new day you won't have to ask me twice to do anything."

The Gogglebox star calmly explained her point of view, replying: "Danny was sticking up for me, I've been made President and I'm very flattered and my job is to make sure everyone else is doing their jobs.  Everyone else 100% gets stuck in but I've asked you over 20 times really politely and you just haven't.  Then as soon as one of the guys asks you, you do it."
