Gladiators' Hunter has a famous secret girlfriend!

Former Gladiators' star Hunter appeared on Loose Women this week, where he made a surprising revelation about his private life. The TV star – real name James Crossley – disclosed that he is in a long-term relationship with another famous face – none other than This Morning's Dr Zoe! He also revealed that they first met because his partner (full name Zoe Williams) also used to be a Gladiator, who went by the name Amazon. He explained: "She used to be a Gladiator. She was one of the new breed. Gladiators came back on Sky about eight years ago."

James, 44, also spoke about the super-fit couple's exercise regime – with panellist Nadia Sawalha joking that they must "always be naked". Praising his partner, James said: "She's a bit of an avatar actually. So I'm a bit jealous of her. She's a natural freak with her genetics and naturally very fit. I don't really work out with her as Zoe's really busy with so many jobs, and she's a doctor."

The TV star was just 19 when he found fame with Gladiators

The star, who just released his Fit at 40+ DVD, then spoke about how Gladiators had catapulted him to fame. "Gladiators was in Birmingham, with 10,000 people watching," he said. "I was 19, they found me in a bodybuilding show. Ten day later I was filming. I wasn't that athletic at first, I'd just done the bodybuilding, I was rubbish at everything at first. I decided that to truly become a Gladiator, you have to put the effort in and it pays off."

James now works in the sports industry as a fitness instructor and personal trainer, but has also branched out into acting, with roles on both the stage and in TV.
