There is no doubt about it – the Duchess of Sussex has single-handedly made the bun cool again. Forget glamorous loose waves – it's all about the up 'do when it comes to the former Suits star and tying your hair back never looked so fabulous! We have lost count of the amount of times Prince Harry's wife has worn a bun – and what's more – she's actually worn many different variations of it. We spoke to hair experts at AMBA Blow Drywho talk us through Meghan's top three buns, and how to get them in the comfort of your own home…

The Messy Bun

First up, we have the bun which kicked it all off – the messy. Meghan, 36, was snapped in January on an official visit to Brixton with her hair pulled back in casual style, which was quite a different look for a royal to rock. Micki at AMBA explains: "Remember, this doesn't have to be neat, it's a low key style and always holds well when the hair has lots of texture." Revealing it’s the easiest of styles to create, he remarked: "With your fingers pull your hair back loosely into a low ponytail. Pull the ponytail through the hair band two/three times (depending on hair thickness). The use a spray such as Redken's Quick Tease on to the ponytail and backcomb the ponytail to create the messy look. Wrap the remaining hair around the hairband to create a messy bun and pin into place and finish off with a medium-firm hold hair spray."

The Sleek Bun

Last week, Duchess Meghan brought the sunshine in her yellow dress by Brandon Maxwell – but all eyes were on her sleek bun – beauty fans were most impressed with the fact that not one hair was out of place! The team at AMBA say this is easy to achieve but a finishing spray is a needed. "This is a sleek look but casual at the same time." The stylists recommend that you first “Choose your desired parting and brush the hair in to a side ponytail just between the nape of the neck and behind the ear. Then, spray the ponytail lightly with a medium-firm hold hair spray and smooth down the hair with your fingers or small bristle brush to neaten to the fly always. Wrap the hair around the hairband to create a bun - pin in place and spray."

The Side Bun

On Tuesday evening, the royal touched down in Ireland – her first official visit with new husband Prince Harry. She not only worked the sleek bun – but it was positioned perfectly to the side! Stylist Micki at AMBA recommends straightening the hair first for this one as it creates a sleek base. Then, he explains you should "spray the hair with hairspray or use a small amount of gel to flatten and smooth the hair down. Pull in to a ponytail just below the crown of your head and make sure the hair band is fitted in tightly. Spray the ponytail lightly with hairspray and smooth any loose hair/fly always. Wrap around the hairband in to a bun. Pin in place and finish with a medium-firm hair spray which is ideal for both a formal or casual look."
