On 21 July, model Daisy Lowe left her Instagram fans intrigued when she shared a snap of freshly cut hair on the floor. The star, known for her stunning long, dark hair, had clearly gone for the chop but it was 10 days before she unveiled her new 'do – and we have to say, she looks amazing. Daisy has gone for a dramatic new look, swapping her flowing locks for a super short bob with fringe. The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant looks barely recognisable in the photo on her Instagram page, in which she poses in a black leotard and stilettos, Chicago style.

Daisy wrote: "A #BTS snap of my new hair cut thanks @liztaw @sarahreygate using @glossier." Daisy's new hairdo is all down to hairstylist Liz Taw, with some seriously smoky eyes by makeup artist Sarah Reygate. She received numerous compliments on her sassy new look. One follower told her: "Wow beautiful," while one said, "You look like the 1920's silent film star, Louise Brooks. Beautiful!"

Several fans commented on the likeness between Daisy and her fashion designer mum Pearl Lowe – who was in 90s band Powder - with one writing: "So like your lovely Mum in her Powder days!" There were calls for Daisy to appear in the West End, as another fan posted: "And all that jazz? Please say you're doing Chicago."

Daisy joins a cool group of A-listers to showcase short, chic hairstyles of late. Actresses Emma Roberts and Jenna Dewan have recently cut off their long tresses for elegant bobs. Singer Alicia Keys and Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke have also sported shorter styles.

We've had the bob, the long bob and now the short bob. Are there any more bobs out there?!
