L’Oréal Professionnel Australia has a new face for the brand this year... Dannii Minogue! She has been transformed into a blonde bombshell for the first time in two decades, switching her usual brunette hair for life on the blonde side.

"I'm so excited to debut my hair transformation, which I just love," Dannii said. "The last time I was blonde was in the '90's."

L’Oréal Professionnel’s colourist Danielle Solier of Xiang QV in Melbourne is the mastermind behind Dannii’s new look. She dyed Dannii's locks an ombré blonde with darker roots, enabling her to, in her own words, take 'blonde to the next level' while still giving her hair the ultimate protection.

Danni Minogue has debuted a new blonde hairstyle

This new style was achieved with the help of Smartbond, which is a new in-salon "protecting and strengthening service". The brand said it is "specifically designed for its hairdressers and used during all technical services such as lightening and hair colour", promising customers "flexibility to colour their hair as drastic or subtle as they like without the fear of compromising the health and integrity of their hair."

This isn't the first time the Australian star has undergone a hair transformation. In 1997 she channelled Pamela Anderson with bright blonde hair and a year later switched it up again for an earthy red.

The 45-year-old is currently a judge on BBC show Let It Shine alongside Gary Barlow and Martin Kemp. She has promised to leave her "nasty judge" on The X Factor days behind her, as she helps to critique the budding male dancers performing live every weekend to become part of Gary Barlow’s new musical The Band, which is based on his time in boy band Take That.

Let It Shine is on BBC One every Saturday at 7pm.
