There are easy natural ways to relieve hay fever symptoms

Drink herbal tea

Chamomile is said to help with hay fever symptoms, while green tea can help build up your immune system and block the production of histamine. If your nose feels blocked you might want to try sipping on peppermint tea, while ginger tea mixed with raw honey can help a congested chest.

Try a facial steam

Not only can this do wonders for your skin, but it will help to clear up any congestion you're feeling. Pour hot water into a glass or ceramic bowl, and add a few drops of eucalyptus oil. Sitting with your face over the bowl – making sure to stay a safe distance from the water – drape a towel over your head and trap the steam. Inhale the steam for five minutes.

Include more garlic in your diet

Garlic can act as a great natural anti-histamine and can also help with nasal congestion. Although it is not a cure for hay fever, it can offer relief from minor symptoms, not to mention it's great for your immune system.

Shower when you get home

A change of clothes and shower will remove any pollen that has lingered during the day so you can avoid worsening your symptoms. Make sure to regularly wash your face and hands to try and remove pollen that may have settled around your nose and eyes and reduce the risk of irritation.

Drink more water

When dehydrated, the body can end up producing more histamine, which in turn can cause you to have strong hay fever symptoms. Drinking eight glasses of water a day will not only keep you hydrated, but it can also help to give your body a detox and clear your nasal passages.
