Dr Emily Andre was giving health advice on Thursday's Lorraine when she opened up about a cancer scare last year. The junior doctor, who was covering for resident health expert Dr Hilary, revealed that she had found a lump in her breast last year. Emily was urging viewers to get regular checks while talking about breast cancer, telling fans: "I found a lump in my breast a year ago. I didn’t need to feel silly about going in and they dealt with it quickly and it was fine. It's really important to check yourself."

The 28-year-old made her TV debut on the ITV daytime show to discuss the latest medical news. Ahead of her appearance, proud husband Peter took to social media to share his pride. He wrote: "So proud of my Emily who will be stepping in for Dr Hilary tomorrow morning on @itvlorraine @lorrainekellysmith Tune in."

While on the show, Emily also opened up about Peter's desire to have another baby, but admitted that she was focusing on her work at the moment. She said: "Peter changes his mind! Now Theo is sleeping a bit more, he is like 'well maybe we will'. But I am now focusing back at work. I really enjoy it. I really do." Emily and Peter are the proud parents to four-year-old Amelia and Theo, 14-months. The Mysterious Girl singer also shares children Junior, 12, and ten-year-old Princess with his ex-wife, Loose Women panellist Katie Price. Peter recently spoke to The Mirror about having more children, saying: "All of a sudden I want another baby. It's weird as I always said I don’t want to be changing nappies at 50, like Simon Cowell."

Peter recently spoke to HELLO! Online about Emily ahead of her return to work, admitting that he was "very, very proud" of her. He said: "She is really looking forward to working. Not so much looking forward to not being with the kids. But she's going to be a working doctor, and I'm going to be very, very proud. I've promised her I'll make her some nice home-cooked meals when she comes home after a day's work." He joked: "Except for the days when I'm working too, in which case, we're not eating."
