She is at number one with American Boy and has attracted support from some of the US's greatest musical names, including Kanye West. But Londoner Estelle has still managed to find time to give her own support to important issues, not least The Body Shop's work against HIV.
The singer is pictured lending her name to the Get Lippy campaign and its new limited edition 'Protected Poke' for Facebook users for an online nudge with a safe sex message.
A new study by The Body Shop and MTV found 63 per cent of sexually active 16–24 year olds have had unprotected sex and only 15 per cent of those women carrying a condom. The Get Lippy campaign raises awareness about the prevention of HIV, gathering funds through the sale of The Body Shop's limited edition Guarana Lip Butter. Every 14 seconds a person aged 15–24 becomes infected with HIV.
