London’s title as the capital of cool just had one more jewel added to its crown with the news Selfridges on Oxford Street has been chosen as the home for the largest Dior counter in Europe with the widest palette of shades available worldwide.

A treasure trove for the beauty addict which Dior is calling “the definitive setting” for the brand, the new state-of-the-art counter will be open from October 1. And here’s what we have to look forward to: Colour Creator Atelier.

For the first time, you’ll be able to shop by tonality as all products for the lips, eyes and nails will be displayed around five harmonies - red, pink, nude, coral and brown allowing you to find your ideal colour palette.

Shop either horizontally by shade or vertically by the different product textures. More than 250 different shades will be available, the widest palette of shades available at Dior worldwide, including, exclusively from October 22 until December, the Love Dior worldwide limited-edition palette, designed by Dior’s creative director for make-up, Tyen, to mark his 30-year anniversary with the brand. Complexion Bar

This will offer Dior’s most complete spectrum of foundation shades worldwide, with make-up artists on hand to advise. You can have a private consultation at the Skincare Bar and there’s a Fragrance Consultation Area, from where Dior will launch, on 15 November, a limited-edition ‘expression’ of J’adore, The Amphora, only 10 bottles of which will be produced, each engraved with a unique number to make it a collector’s item.
