She is one of the well-heeled Made In Chelsea set, often gracing our television screens looking glamorous and flawless. And Louise Thompson has shared her health and beauty tips with HELLO! Online, opening up about her beauty no-nos, what's in her makeup bag and how she manages to stay so slim and toned. What was your beauty New Year’s resolution? I've made a promise to my skin that I will take my makeup off every evening WITHOUT fail. I'm so bad at doing this after nights out – going to bed with a full face of makeup is one of my worst habits. Not only does it ruin my white pillowcases but also makes my eyelashes fall out and clogs my pores, leadings to bad skin around my mouth. I need to really invest in some good eye makeup remover and night masks this year.

What does your head-to-toe beauty regime consist of? I wake up, exfoliate and try to give myself an all over body moisturise every morning although this usually ends up being more like three times a week. I then pop a bit of Bumble and Bumble serum on my hair and leave it in a turban. I give my face a good moisturise and occasionally add in some gradual tanner. I like to keep my body free from hair so that moisturising and applying tan is easier and smoother. For this I use my Gillette Venus naked skin designed by Braun. It's an intense pulsed light (IPL) hair removal device which gives me long-lasting hair free results, so my skin is always beautifully smooth. It also comes with an integrated Skin Tone Sensor which means it automatically customises the IPL energy and pulse levels to suit my skin tone, making it really safe to use and easy for me to treat myself from the comfort of my own home. For finishing touches I like to paint my nails. I'm actually very good at painting them so I give myself regular manicures and pedicures or I pop round the corner to Glo Fulham to get shellacs before holidays. Essie nail varnishes are my favourite, the seasonal colours are so on trend and I love the design of the bottles. You have great hair, what's your secret? I love Aussie hair care, especially their Frizz Miracle range. The 3 Minute Miracle Frizz Remedy and the conditioners saved my hair last summer in Ibiza. I borrowed off a friend and have never looked back. I was blow drying every evening with amazing volume and had immaculately smooth hair the next day for the beach too.

What's your beauty tip for beating tired winter skin? If your skin is looking dry, which mine tends to do in winter months, the key is to keep super moisturised. Lather on rich moisturising cream to keep the skin hydrated and plump. I always carry Organic Surge Million Dollar Anywhere Balm to moisturise and replenish dry areas and apply Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream every morning. I also recently discovered Vita Coco coconut water, it's delicious and keeps me hydrated too, leaving my skin soft and fresh. Before a night out, line your stomach with Vita Coco – it works every time for me! What's in your makeup bag? • Laura Mercier translucent setting powder• Armani luminous silk foundation• Dr Jart+ Water Fuse Beauty Balm• Nars Illuminator in Copacabana• Dermalogica sheer tint moisturiser• By terry eye brown pencil in ash brown• Mac groundwork Paint Pot• Topshop lipstick pencils• Nars highlighter cheek duo• Black Estee Lauder smokey eye pencilHave you ever been given some great beauty advice which you wish you'd listened to? Eyebrows. I ignored my eyebrows for years. The moment I got HD brows done I never looked back. I like dark full eyebrows with good shape – they can entirely change someone's face. Tidy eyebrows give a general clearer complexion and tidier appearance. Never over pluck!

What's your fitness and diet regime? Do you enjoy going to the gym? I tend to eat whatever I want. I eat a LOT of meat, especially red meat, but I think because my daddy used to feed me up with whopping steaks and hand cut chips as a little girl my metabolism can handle it. I look back at photos and wonder why I was so porky as a 10 year old and I think it must be down to eating man portions, but now I thank him. Occasionally I'll try and cut out carbs. I have done very little exercise since I left school and feel very unfit. However, I've agreed to run the Edinburgh half marathon in May so I need to get motivated. I think I'll start slow with some Pilates classes and build up muscle – something which I do almost too easily (I have very muscly arms and calves), but I'm dreading the cardio.
