Get The Look: Strictly Come Dancing Christmas party make-up special

With party season in full swing, check out these Strictly Come Dancing beauty tips from celebrity make-up artist Alice Theobald. Eyes Glitter is a Strictly Come Dancing must have and the eyes are the place to play this up.

First prime the lid with Stay Don't Stray by Benefit. Then draw Bobbi Brown Shadow pencil in Tux Black along the lash line and coloured up into the socket. Load up an Estée Lauder blending brush with Dior Show Eyeshadow in Adventure, take from lash roots and blend outwards. Next, add Dior's Millennium eyeshadow to the inner middle of the lid and blend. In true Strictly style I like to dust MAC's Pearl Reflects glitter over the entire lid! Keep the waterline (the bit right above your lower lashes) dark, using Clarins Waterproof Eye Pencil in Black. To intensify the look even further, take Bobbi's Black Gel Liner and run it into the root of the lashes. Apply Black Clump Defy mascara by Max Factor to lashes. Bold full strip false lashes are also a Strictly must – I like Eyelure 151.

Brows

Strengthen the look of your eyebrows using light strokes of Shiseido's Eyebrow Styling Compact in Deep Brown.

Lips

When photographing Strictly Come Dancing star Natalie Gumede for HELLO!, we primarily went with a nude sixties inspired feel — MAC Lipglass in Florabundance. I then turned it up a notch by applying Scarlet, Estée Lauder's lip pencil in Red topped with YSL, 21 Rouge Pur Couture Glossy Stain, for a classic glamour pout with a twist.

Complexion

If you have any oil-prone patches, prep with Estée Lauder's Perfecting Primer. Then load up an Origins Foundation Brush with MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation and apply evenly over the face to provide a flawless finish. Use a light reflecting product, such as Loreal's Lumi Magique light reflective, to disguise signs of fatigue and lift the under eye area. Blend MAC Cream Colour Base Pearl into the cheekbone area using your ring finger tip for extra luminosity. Finally, set the base by dusting over Givenchy Powder Brush and Prisme Foundation powder.

Body

Any bare flesh in Strictly Come Dancing needs a bit of glitter so I smother limbs in Lumiere d'Opale, a body oil with shimmer. I then recommend misting the body with Satine Perfume Lalique.
