Who doesn’t love Lush? As well as being famously eco-friendly and cruelty-free the high street cosmetics store keeps coming up with more and more to-die-for products – from its famous bath bombs and bubble bars to its more recent foray into lipsticks and nail polishes. And now the brand has just announced a new product which you're definitely going to want to check out during your next shopping trip. Lush is releasing its first ever foundation, which is going to be available in an incredible 40 different shades.

The foundations are solid yet buildable

The Slap Stick solid foundation range, which drops this Friday, promises to be 100% vegan and plastic-free. It's made from 45% coconut oil, which will hydrate and soothe your skin, 14% pigment, and also contains Argan oil and jojoba oil. The buildable formula is designed to give a fresh, dewy look that will last all day. Even better, some of the profits will be put back into supporting causes around the world. The coconut oil is sourced from Indonesia and 10% of profits go back into funding literacy classes and a dentist within the community, and the Argan oil is purchased from a women's cooperative in Morocco.

Some beauty brands (we're looking at you, Kim Kardashian West) have been criticised recently for failing to accommodate a wide enough range of skin colours. But with 40 tones to choose from, there's bound to be a shade here to suit everyone. Lush has also confirmed there will be a Makeup Swatch Shop at its Soho store where shoppers who are unsure which shade to go for can be colour-matched by professionals.

Another foundation set to launch this month is Benefit's Hello Happy. The product will come in 12 shades which all have a neutral undertone "to give flexibility and stretch", and will cover skin tones from fair to deep. Benefit tells HELLO! that Hello Happy "has a soft-blur formula to hide imperfections without hiding your skin," and "will give a light to medium coverage and a natural-matte finish".
