If you haven't seen Beyonce on the cover of September's Vogue then grab a copy pronto. The singer looks absolutely amazing in the issue, wearing a simple white dress, flamboyant floral headdress and beautiful stripped back makeup. The star has gone completely natural for the photoshoot by photographer Tyler Mitchell, and while her whole look is totally amazing, the thing we can't stop talking about is her ethereal makeup. How does she look so fantastic? When we try the whole bare beauty look it just seems like we haven't bothered. Well, it's all down to her seriously talented makeup artist and one particular product – a Marc Jacobs highlighter.

Beyonce's makeup artist is the esteemed Sir John, who has created statement looks for just about every A-list lady around. In a press release, he revealed why he chose the Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter in Fantasy for the Vogue cover. He said: “It’s all about a glowy contour. Dew Drops are worth their weight in gold. It’s the one thing I have in my bag everywhere — I use it for concerts, for shoots, for tours — I use it religiously."

Sir John used Marc Jacobs's Beauty's Under Perfecting Coconut Face Primer to prepare Beyonce's skin, then applied Marc Jacobs Beauty's Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter in Fantasy to her facial 'highpoints'. He then combined the highlighter with a deeper foundation to contour the cheek.

The Marc Jacobs highlighter is available from net-a-porter.com for £32 and contains metallic pigments that give a rose gold sheen. The website advises: "Dab it onto the highest points of the face or mix it with primer for ultimate radiance." Or like Beyonce, mix it with your foundation.

“Beyoncé loves a ‘no-makeup’ makeup look. She’s all about being confident in your skin and owning your natural element. This look was all about redefining glamorous as a state of mind. We focused on enhancing her natural brows, skin, and structure — and bringing out that inner glow."

Beyonce, who recently gave birth to twins Rumi and Sir, told Vogue why she chose a barely-there makeup look for the photoshoot. "I think it’s important for women and men to see and appreciate the beauty in their natural bodies," she said. "That’s why I stripped away the wigs and hair extensions and used little makeup for this shoot."

Now, let's track down this highlighter…
