That's because Superdrug is starting its biggest ever sale the day after Christmas, with 24,000 product lines being reduced by up to 90 per cent – some with prices starting at just 10p!
The company is dramatically slashing prices on more than £40m of stock. The sale actually starts online at superdrug.com on Christmas Eve, where a list of the 300 sale stores open the day after Christmas will also be available - though you can call 020 8684 7000 to find out your nearest, too.
“With the country’s mind on living on a budget we’ve planned our sale so you can buy a medicine cabinet for £2, refresh your beauty routine for a fiver and buy all baby’s needs for a tenner,” says Jeff Wemyss, trading director at Superdrug.
"The sale range includes winter health and vitamins, everyday toiletries such as shampoo and toothpastes and even packs of leading brand nappies for less than a pound," he explains.
Selected skincare items from Lancome and Clarins will be available for £2.99, there will be hairdryers and other electricals from £1.99 and some vitamins will be going for 10p. Johnson & Johnson Baby Bath will be down from 99p to 49p – the same price as Pantene 2-in-1 Volume & Body, which was originally £1.49.
Fisherman's Friends will be 10p, as will Skin Rescue Sauna Mask and Vitamin E Eye Gel and Moisture Cream. You can get Mavala mini nail polishes and Wax-A-Way bikini line wax for 99p, while John Frieda Volume Blow Dry Lotion, 125ml, will be £1.99 from £5.49 and St Tropez Self-Tan Spray will be £4.99 from £14.99.
Looks like the Christmas cheer will be extending past the big day itself this year.
