Whitney Port talks body and beauty tips with HELLO! Online

Whitney Port became a household name after starring as Lauren Conrad's sidekick in hit reality TV show The Hills. Since, she has appeared on her own reality show, The City, joined the judging panel of last season's Britain's Next Top Model, set up her own successful fashion range and she is now the face (and legs) of the new Venus & Olay razor. Speaking to HELLO! Online, the Californian beach babe opens up about how to get bikini body ready, her top beauty essentials and why she doesn't miss reality tv…

The gym helps me stay in shape…I am actually lucky enough to live around the corner from a gym, so it is really easy for me and there is no excuse for me not to go! I try to go three to four times a week. My diet is everything in moderation… I like to enjoy myself, and I don't want to live my life inhibiting myself but I always want to be healthy. So I definitely try and keep balance. In the morning I do yoga and coffee with friends, then I'll have a big salad for lunch with some protein and dinner will normally be chicken and vegetables. I usually try and make healthy choices. To get bikini body ready… I sleep, work out, eat well and just try and be good to myself. It is also good to keep moisturised and exfoliate – I always exfoliate in the shower with an Olay exfoliator scrub and then I moisturise. One of my top beauty essentials is the new razor from Venus and Olay… It's all about the ultimate combination. It has the amazing deluxe razor that just gives you the closest possible shave, and then it has the moisture strips bar so you don't even have to use shaving cream. Once you're done shaving you don't even really need moisturiser because of the Olay moisture strips.

I don't miss reality TV… I had so much fun doing it and I am grateful for it, but it was definitely a trying time. It was pretty invasive, so I am happy to be living my life on my own terms at this point. I was excited to see Kim wearing trousers from my line… When anyone wears my stuff I am excited. I am always flattered that they want to wear it so seeing Kim in the trousers was really cool. Rihanna has also worn one of my dresses and Heidi Klum has worn a suit. Alessandra Ambrosio has worn a couple of things, so it's nice to know I have support out there! Trends don't work for everyone… Always make sure you feel comfortable and confident in what you're wearing. When in doubt, put on a floral dress and ankle boots – that is always a great and easy go-to outfit. Less is more… Especially with make-up in the summer time. We don't need to load it on and I think natural beauty is something that we should really pay attention to. My fashion idols are cool, different and edgy… I love Alexa Chung, Diane Kruger and Kate Bosworth. They defy trends. They probably take more risks than I do but I would say my style is similar. I try to listen to my instincts and not go along with what everyone else is doing. I like to step out of my comfort zone. Kate Middleon's style is awesome… I think everything she wears is really beautiful, sophisticated and classic. She looks awesome, especially pulling that off while being pregnant. I am currently dating someone… We've been together for a year and a half, but nobody would know who he is – he's not famous. No wedding bells just yet!
