When Kris Jenner quips: "My fantasy is to have Keeping Up With The Kardashians season 26", it's clear the unstoppable 'Momager' is only half joking.
San Diego, California
In the last few years the show she executive produces has become headline news, and it's now the engine for a $100 million brand.
"There are a lot of big personalities in our family," she said, explaining its success. "Our show is just about our family and what happens".
In line with her promise to "show everything and not edit ourselves", footage of her plastic surgery was aired. "I have cameras in my house 24/7", she explained, "I can't just go for coffee and come back with new boobs!"
The Kardashian matriarch - who describes her job as trying to "take my kids' 15 minutes and turn it into 30" - was born Kristen Houghton in San Diego, California in 1955.
In 1978 she married lawyer Robert Kardashian and the couple had four children: Kim, Kourtney, Khloé and Robert Jr. In 1989 Robert filed for divorce after his wife had an affair.
"When you're very young you do a lot of stupid things," she reflected,"“It's probably the biggest regret of my life. I was probably just really naïve and restless, and didn't realise that marriage has its ups and downs".
The California girl's second marriage to former Olympian Bruce Jenner in 1991 gave her two more daughters, Kendall and Kylie. He also brought children of his own to the union, making Kris a stepmother of four.
Her world was shaken when her close friend Nicole Brown Simpson was murdered in 1994. Nicole's husband OJ Simpson was the prime suspect, but wasn't convicted - Kris has always openly declared his guilt.
The trial caused further friction with her ex-husband Robert who was on the defence team.
Nevertheless, Kris helped console her daughters when their father died of cancer in 2003. Coping by throwing themselves into various projects, Kourtney, Kim and Khloé launched 'Dash', a high fashion boutique in Calabasas. They have since expanded to New York and Miami.
In 2007, the mother of six "literally fell apart" when an intimate video of Kim was leaked, but she put on a brave face. "My job as her mum and manager is to take care of the problem – whatever it is", she explained.
On the back of Kim's new profile, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, a reality series following the family throughout their daily lives was commissioned. Eight seasons and three spin-off shows later, the Kardashian clan have shot to international stardom.
In 2012 E! signed on the series for another three years. In 2011, the series faced criticism regarding footage of Kim's wedding to basketball player Kris Humphries. The couple filed for divorce after 72 days, leading to claims that it was an attempt to boost ratings and enhance publicity, which Kim has denied.
Unfortunately, the clan's marital problems didn't stop there. After 22 years together, Kris and Bruce announced their separation in 2013 with a statement reading: "We will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority".
Meanwhile, Khloé's marriage to Lamar Odom was rocked by allegations that he was struggling with addiction and had been unfaithful.
The ambitious businesswoman always responds to problems in the same way: putting her Louboutin-clad foot forward. Following the Kris Humphries furore she released her tell-all book Kris Jenner…And All Things Kardashian.
She went on to host her eponymous talk show featuring interviews with celebrity guests, including Kim's new man, Kanye West.
