The Duchess of Cambridge traded her tiara and gown for a more casual ensemble to meet with cub scouts from the Kings Lynn District.

Kate, who has previously worked as a volunteer with a Cub Scout pack, stepped out in a laid back albeit chic look for her visit, wearing a grey cashmere turtleneck sweater by Iris and Ink, which she paired with dark trousers and her trusty Really Wild Clothing Spanish Boots. The stylish royal accessorized the outdoorsy outfit with a Cubs 100 scarf around her neck.

The British royal was on hand to celebrate the cubs’ 100th anniversary with 24 girls and boys aged between 8 and 10½, participating in a range of fun activities designed to help them to learn vital life skills.

Peek-a-boo, we see you! The mom-of-two participated in a parachute game, keeping a ball aloft and ran under to another position during a session in which birthday months were shouted. Kate, whose birthday is in January, was one of the last ones to run!

Kate gave a high five to Dylan McKenna for successfully putting her arm in a sling with the special Cubs 100 scarf. "She said I did a good job," the nine-year-old revealed of his encounter with the Duchess. "She said 'Well done I'm very impressed with this.'"

Kate tried her hand initially icing cupcakes with pink icing. "Who wants the pink...No one... its me then," she said as she tried to create a Cub 100 decoration on the cupcake.
