Basketball-loving President unwinds at Chicago Bulls match

What do you do to relax when you're President of the United States? For Barack Obama, the answer has to involve his favourite sport - basketball. The American leader was in his element at the weekend as he joined fellow fans to watch his beloved Chicago Bulls take on the Washington Wizards.

The pleasure he took in the outing to a Washington stadium was evident on the 47-year-old's face as he was presented with a Wizards jersey at the game. Court-side he chatted with match goers of all ages and even engaged in banter with surrounding Wizards fans.

And like many enjoying the showdown on Saturday night, Mr Obama - who famously shot hoops while waiting for the election results and plans to have a basketball court installed in the White House - enjoyed a cool beer. Following the game closely, he punched the air with joy when the Bulls scored, but left early as they headed for a 113-90 defeat.
