Zara and Mike draw laughs with saucy banter during charity quiz

The Queen's granddaughter Zara Phillips and her boyfriend Mike Tindall proved themselves to be game for a laugh at the weekend as they took part in a charity Mr & Mrs-style competition.

The young couple got into the spirit of the quiz – during which they had to predict how each other would answer a series of multiple choice questions just like in the Seventies TV show – joking their way through it and poking fun at themselves.

The biggest laugh of the evening came when the royal and her beau - who've been dating for five years and clearly share the same sense of fun - agreed that what first attracted 27-year-old Zara to rugby player Mike was his "big tackle".

But winning the quiz clearly came second to having a giggle: out of six questions, they only managed to answer two correctly.

When the quizmaster asked Mike what he most looked for in a girl, he selected the answer "membership of the royal family".

The sweethearts - who were referred to as "The Tindalls" throughout the competition - were competing with three other couples at the fundraising evening, which was held at Cheltenham Racecourse.

As they were welcomed on stage, quizmaster BBC sports presenter Jill Douglas commented on how one of Mike's fellow players is to tie the knot this summer.

Then she asked: "When are you going to pop the question?" Mike, however managed to sidestep the question.

There was also reference to the sports star's recent driving ban. Asked if Mike's driving license had been what first attracted her to him she quipped: "He had one then".
