Kate and Wills openly affectionate at polo on rare public outing

Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton were spotted out in public together at the weekend for the first time in five months, and were looking very affectionate.

Wills draped an arm around his 27-year-old girlfriend's shoulder as they strolled around a polo club after a match. Pretty brunette Kate had turned out to support her royal beau as he took part in a polo match at Coworth Park Polo Club, near Ascot in Berkshire.

The royal couple have been keeping a low profile lately while the 26-year-old Prince concentrates on his training as a search-and-rescue pilot. He just completed the first stage of the RAF course.

William, who is sharing a house close to RAF Shawbury in Shropshire with his brother Harry, will next train to pilot a Griffin helicopter, an advance on the Squirrel model he has already mastered.

Despite his flying commitments the second-in-line to the throne did manage to spend Easter with Kate – who is currently working for her parents' party supplies company. The couple went skiing together in Klosters, the Swiss resort where Wills' family usually spend the holiday.
