With such a natural flair for dressing well, it would have been understandable for Crown Prince Frederik's wife to be on the lookout for new additions for her own wardrobe.
But she must have had two other little people in mind when choosing which show to attend – her own children Prince Christian, three, and Princess Isabella, who turned two in April – as she took her front row seat at a fashion show for kids.
The mum-of-two is a frequent visitor to Copenhagen's fashion week, which occurs twice a year in February and August.
As well as being hailed for her sense of style abroad, Mary is the patron of Denmark's fashion industry – one of the country's biggest economic sectors.
