Zara Phillips plays the doting aunty with niece Savannah

Zara Phillips enjoyed a spot of aunty duty on Saturday as she played with niece, Savannah Phillips. Eventing champion Zara was competing at the Badminton Horse Trials in Gloucestershire, cheered on by her family.

Zara' mother, Princess Anne, father, Captain Mark Phillips and brother Peter Phillips all turned out to see her take part and Peter and his wife Autumn also brought along daughters Savannah and Isla, who are currently the Queen's only great-grandchildren.

Zara, who married rugby star Mike Tindall in 2011, was thrilled to see her young nieces, picking up a delighted Savannah and giving the blonde youngster a hug.

The young royals, who are aged two and one, were wrapped up warm in cute woolen hats as they cheered from the stands.

The Queen will welcome her third great-grandchild in July when Kate Middleton is due to give birth and Zara's affection for her nieces is sure to be replicated with her cousin William and Kate's baby.
