In keeping with royal tradition, the Grimaldi palace will open its doors for the first ceremony.

Members of the Monegasque royal family are expected to turn out in full force, including Pierre's mum Princess Caroline of Monaco and her brother Prince Albert. Pierre's siblings Andrea and Charlotte are also expected to be present, with their respective partners Tatiana Santo Domingo and Gad Elmaleh.

The second celebration will be held closer to the bride's home of Italy on the Lake Maggiore, where Beatrice's family own the Borromean islands.

Pierre, 27, and Beatrice, 29, met while studying at university in Milan in 2008. The young sweethearts were originally said to be marrying on 20 April, after Pierre popped the question with a pink diamond ring.

The stunning Beatrice, who is a well-known journalist and TV presenter, has recently spoken about wanting to start a family.

"I'd love if Pierre became the father of my children," Beatrice told Vanity Fair Italy. "He would be so good and I think together we could create a very stable family. But we haven't reached that point yet. At the moment we are both happy. But one day I would like the responsibility of a family."

The statuesque beauty is a regular at royal fixtures, and has accompanied her fiancé Pierre to events such as the annual Monaco Rose Ball and the wedding of Prince Félix of Luxembourg to Claire Lademacher.
