King Felipe takes his daughter Princess Leonor to her first football game

Taking in the action and asking her dad dozens of questions, Princess Leonor of Spain was clearly enraptured by her first ever football game at the Estadio Vicente Calderon stadium in Madrid. The young royal and King Felipe were enjoying some father-daughter bonding time on Wednesday night, as they watched Atletico Madrid take on Bayern Munich.

Full of questions, the inquisitive little girl leant into her dad and chatted away, while also pointing to various players on the pitch.

Her excitement was plastered across her face, as Leonor grinned and at one point clasped her hands to her cheeks.

Princess Leonor and King Felipe enjoyed some father-daughter bonding time

Leonor and Felipe, who is a known sporting and football fan, had the best seats in the house seated alongside Enrique Cerezo, president of Atlético Madrid, and Vicente del Bosque, manager of the Spanish national football team.

The duo were on hand to help answer Leonor's questions and shared a few laughs and joked with the future queen.

The princess said she enjoyed the match "very much"

At the end of the night the ten-year-old waved to photographers and told them she had enjoyed the match "very much".

It was the first time Leonor had visited the stadium with her dad, although the pair most likely watch games regularly in the comfort of their home, with Queen Letizia and Leonor's younger sister Princess Sofia.

In June 2014 when Felipe's father King Juan Carlos abdicated, Leonor became the youngest heiress to a throne in Europe. Until then the pretty blonde had been kept largely out of the spotlight, but Leonor has been making more public appearances.

The future queen was last spotted attending an Easter mass with the rest of the royal family in Majorca. Both Leonor and her sister Sofia were as good as gold, and looked particularly sweet wearing matching side plaits.
