The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are sharing their festive wishes with the release of their much-anticipated famous Christmas card. The couple have shared a picture of the card sitting on a Christmas tree in their home at Clarence House.
Printed on the front of the Christmas card is the Prince of Wales' feathers and the Duchess' cipher. The festive card, which is surrounded by a thin red border, reads on the inside: "Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year". The regal picture was taken when Camilla was celebrating her 70th birthday with the Prince of Wales.
To mark her milestone birthday on 17 July, the couple were dressed for a private summer party at Charles' Highgrove home. Camilla wore an ivory embellished dress by Anna Valentine and accessorised her outfit with a detailed flower necklace. Meanwhile, Prince Charles styled himself in a tailored black dinner jacket – by Savile Row bespoke tailors Anderson & Sheppard – and a black tie. The couple smiled for the picture – taken by royal photographer Hugo Burnand – which was taken in the orchard room in Clarence House a few days before Camilla's birthday.
Hugo, the famously known regal photographer, often works with the couple as he photographed their beloved wedding nuptials back in 2005. And that isn't the only time he has worked with the couple; he photographed the heir to the throne's birthday image to mark his 60th in 2008 as well as taking a portrait picture of the Duchess. Hugo is also familiar with other members of the royal family as he took the famously known and stunning pictures for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding ceremony in 2011.
And Prince Charles isn't the only royal releasing his Christmas pictures as his son, Prince William, has also released his adorable annual family Christmas card on Monday.
