Speaking about her experience, Samantha said: " 'It is such a privilege to meet these young men and women who have been so courageous in the line of duty and are so proud to serve their country. 'I am honoured to be an ambassador for Tickets for Troops, a brilliant charity that works to give a little back to those who give so much.' The Brit awards, which will take place on February 20, are arguably the biggest celebration of British music. Rumoured to be featuring performances from Robbie Williams, Ben Howard, Muse and Olympics' favourite Emeli Sandé, this year's event will be a highly coveted moment for the troops.

Since 2009, serving servicemen have been able to register for tickets for a series of sporting, theatrical and musical events in honour of their bravery and commitment. 300,000 tickets have been disclosed to the charity in its history, with 200 per year available for the Brit awards. The Olympic and Paralympic games were also popular amongst the troops, who were able to watch British athletes secure third place in the Olympic medals table.
