Whether your ultimate travel fantasy is a high-stakes poker weekend with your friends or a chilled getaway for two, with limitless resort credit, the Hard Rock Hotel offers you an access-all-areas pass to paradise. On top of a lavish dining and nightlife scene, there’s serious indulgence to be found by daylight too, no wonder it’s the world’s most reviewed hotel on trip advisor.

Our first morning at the massive 121-acre all-inclusive resort was spent putting holes at the golf course, relaxing our muscles at the spa, followed by the complimentary tram to the exclusive Eden pool, where we spent the afternoon on a swinging cabana bed with cocktail in hand. It wasn’t hard to see why Justin Bieber, Rihanna and Maroon 5 have visited.

2.HRH Punta Cana Caribbean Suite Double

A Caribbean Suite at Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana

We stayed in a decadent Caribbean Suite; from the moment you enter you'll immediately notice rock star touches like a private balcony and a double Hydro Spa Tub. If you want ultimate indulgence the Rock Royalty-Caribbean Sand Suites come with a personal assistant to attend to your every need. And if the Mini bar and liquor dispenser’s in your room aren’t enough there's even 24-hour room service all included!

In the resort there’s a variety of gourmet dining options available through the 11 restaurants, from Brazilian steakhouse Ipanema and The Market international buffet to Asian Teppanyaki at Zen and brick-oven pizza at Pizzeto. After checking out some of the 23 bars and lounges, we grabbed a drink and marveled over rock history icons such as Elton John’s hand-painted piano, Tommy Lee's Motley Crue silver space ship outfit and Gene Simmons’ custom axe base and Sammy Hagar’s 1926 hot rod. Inspired by the rock royalty we became rockstars in the Music Lab, where we learnt to play instruments of our choice and recorded our own music video. You can even rent a guitar from reception for the evening and rock out in your own suite.

3.HRH Punta Cana Balcony Seaview

The resort has stunning sea views

If rock and roll is not for you there’s plenty to do that doesn’t involve music. Punta Cana features 13 expansive pools, including three kids pools, one lazy river, one adults-only pool (Eden) and two private pools for Legendary Members. The hotel is also located directly on Bavaro Beach providing the perfect view from one of the Balinese beds or a sunset beach walk. You can easily get to all of these with the complimentary trams around the hotel.

Groups keen to do more than sunbathe and dip in the pool can pick from an array of activities – either as a couple, as a family or socially. Everything we experienced from the spa treatments and golf through to all of the excursions was booked through the hotel as part of the limitless resort credit. The resort credit amount depends on the length of stay, which can then be used on whatever you like, as much as you like. Just a small service fee of 20% will be applied to all resort credit purchases.

4.Beach

A beach in Punta Cana

This beautiful island has a lot to offer, using the resort credit for excursions is a great way to see it. We enjoyed the Snorkelling in Paradise, combing fun, party and adventure. Sailing from the beach of “El Cortecito” to a modern floating aquarium where we had the chance to swim with sharks and tropical fish through coral reefs and enjoy a national drink toast on board the catamaran. If you're interested in the Dominican culture, the Dominican Experience Tour allowed us to appreciate the preparation methods of cigars, coffee and chocolate, as well as visiting a typical house and sugar cane plantations. Other excursions include; Off Riders Adventure, Beach Horseback Riding and swimming with the Dolphins.
