James Franco has put his Los Angeles home on the market, and it is surprisingly affordable compared to many other celebrity properties in the area. The 27 Hours actor is selling his two-bedroom, three-bathroom home in the Silver Lake neighbourhood for $949,000 (around £704,000), according to property website Trulia.
The 39-year-old bought the property in 2012 and has transformed it into a cosy home, with numerous spacious living areas, an office where he could work on his creative projects, and an outdoor terrace that offers views of the Hollywood sign.
James' home dates back to 1923 and has a Spanish-style design, with white walls throughout and wooden flooring. It is located in the hipster Silver Lake neighbourhood, where fellow stars including Sia have previously lived. Click through the gallery to take a look inside his home…
The living room is bright and airy, with white walls and a floor-to-ceiling arched window. Wooden details run throughout the room, including chairs and a coffee table, which sit on a textured rug next to a white sofa. A cosy throw, patterned cushion and plants add the finishing touches.
The dining room has rustic tiled flooring and a long wooden table with seating for James to host for six people. A double doorway leads to the outside terrace, which is said to offer views of the Los Angeles skyline and Hollywood sign.
There is a combined kitchen and living room which is separated by a breakfast bar with two stools. Like the rest of the property, the room is decorated in white, with wooden flooring and a large green corner sofa that is adorned with cushions.
There are two bedrooms in James' home, including this large suite that has a double bed and white traditional open brick fireplace. A door on the far side of the room leads out to the private terrace, where James would have been able to relax and take in the sights of the Los Angeles skyline.
One of the rooms appears to serve as an office, with a wooden desk at the centre and shelving to store James' books and work. There is also an easel set up for James' other creative pursuits, so he can try his hand at painting, too.
James' home has a private terrace set up with a picnic table and parasol, plus extra al fresco seating, making it the perfect spot for the actor and his friends to catch out and enjoy the Californian sunshine.
