As footballer John Terry gets his marriage and career back on track following claims he was unfaithful, he has found support in team-mate Wayne Rooney.
The Manchester United player has appealed to England fans not to boo the former captain if he is selected to play in central defence in tomorrow's clash with Egypt.
"I hope they don't boo John as I have played for England when some of our own players have been booed. It is not nice for the whole team," said the new dad.
"When home fans boo home players it doesn't send out the right message. Leading up to a World Cup you want the fans right behind you."
John was stripped of the England captaincy following the furore surrounding his personal life.
But Wayne, who models the new England away strip with his friend in a new advert (pictured), says: "Of course we are happy to have John around. He's a leader of the team even without the armband. He is a great player and if we are going to win the World Cup then we need JT.
"I don't think what has gone on will affect us."
