American actress Lindsay Lohan has been released from jail after serving two weeks of her 90-day sentence.
Lindsay was released from the Lynwood Correctional Facility at 1.35am on Monday morning, a Los Angeles Sheriff's spokesman has confirmed, adding: "She has been sent directly to her next destination, which is a treatment centre."
"She will now be under the supervision of the LA County probation department. This concludes her custody."
The 24-year-old star entered the all-female penitentiary on July 20 after violating her probation on a 2007 drunk-driving charge.
She had her sentence reduced for good behaviour and issues with overcrowding.
By order of the court, Lindsay will now serve three months at a rehabilitation centre.
She had been due to be transferred to Morningside Recovery, but there was concern about security, and at the weekend Judge Marsha Revel approved another undisclosed centre.
