Sting's teenage daughter recovering after fracturing skull

Monday May 4, 2009

The Police frontman has been keeping a vigil at the bedside of his singer daughter Coco Sumner after she collapsed and fractured her skull in an LA restaurant.

The 18-year-old had been eating out with a friend when she stood up and fell over, knocking her head on a chair in the process.

She was kept in intensive care for four days, during which time she was visited by her father, who happened to be working in the States. Sting's producer wife Trudie Styler, also flew to Los Angeles to be with their daughter.

"The doctors are still running tests. Obviously it’s a serious injury and Coco is under constant surveillance,’ a source told the Mail on Sunday.

Shaken Coco, who has a six-figure record deal with Island Records and is in America working on her upcoming debut, plans to return to the UK soon
