Princess Letizia takes fashion crown at Greek wedding

Monday September 6, 2010

She may not have been the one in white but it seems Princess Letizia nearly managed to steal the show at the Greek royal wedding of Prince Nikolaos and Tatiana Blatnik.

The Spanish princess won the admiration of the thousands of readers who voted in our poll to decide the most elegant wedding guest.

Wearing a stunning periwinkle blue, one-shoulder creation by Felipe Varela, she glittered at the top spot with an overwhelming 30 percent of votes.

Close on her heels was Princess Mary of Denmark, with 24 percent, wearing a gorgeous green patterned floor-length gown.

Princess Victoria of Sweden won third place with an elegant empire-line warm tangerine dress, complete with matching shawl.

It was a close call for Princess Marie of Denmark and Princess Madeleine, in competition for fourth and fifth place in our elegant style stakes.

Although both opted for strapless gowns, Princess Marie's sand-coloured dress with a stylish fan took fourth place, leaving Princess Madeleine in a respectable fifth, with a bold aqua design.
