Ellie Goulding to release Children In Need single

Monday October 7, 2013

Ellie Goulding’s track As Long as I Love You has been chosen as the official song for Children In Need 2013.

The song - which featured as a bonus track on her recent album Halcyon Days - will receive an official release on November 10.

Speaking of her involvement, Ellie said: "I've grown up watching BBC Children in Need so it's fantastic that I'm doing this year's single!

"It is an emotional song, but in a really positive way, and I've been completely blown away with the positive reaction it's had already."

At least 20 pence from every download of the single will go to Children In Need, which aims to give every child in the UK a safe, happy and secure childhood and the chance to reach their potential.

Ellie - who performed at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding reception - is following in the footsteps of Girls Aloud and JLS, who have both released Children in Need singles in recent years.

The Children in Need 2013 appeal show will air on BBC One on 15 November.

The evening will provide entertainment from some of Britain's best comedians and popstars, as well as a live performance of the single by Ellie.
