Burlesque artist Dita von Teese brought her brand of sensual magic to John Paul Gaultier's haute couture Paris show – turning the fashion spectacle into 'hot' couture.
She sashayed onto the catwalk wearing a black dress, before removing it piece by piece along with her gloves to reveal a crystal-embellished corset.
The outfit is the piece de resistance of the maestro's collaboration with the La Perla lingerie brand.
In tribute to the French capital, other models wore twisted turbans and came on with elegant cigarette holders.
Explaining his choice of an American for the star turn, the designer said: "The Paris woman is everywhere today, everywhere but Paris".
