Lily Allen 'improving' after septicaemia battle

Monday November 8, 2010

Just days after losing her baby, Lily Allen has been rushed to hospital again.

The star was admitted at the weekend and is battling the potentially lethal blood-poisoning condition septicaemia.

However, her spokesperson was positive about her recovery: "She is responding well to treatment and her condition continues to improve.

"Lily thanks everyone for their messages of support and again asks that she and partner Sam Cooper be left alone whilst she recovers," she added.

The singer was six-months pregnant when she suffered her second miscarriage last week.

In a poignant Twitter message to fans yesterday, the 25-year-old said: "I'm still very sick but the messages are helping me to be stronger. Thank you x x."
