Following Paula Abdul's exit from American Idol last week, another reality show has already expressed interest in signing her up – rival talent series So You Think You Can Dance.
Producer Nigel Lythgoe has confirmed he has met with Paula for talks to join the dancing programme, adding there was "no question" he wanted her on board.
"I don't know anybody that's had her experience of being a dancer, of being a choreographer and of being a judge," he said of 47-year-old former pop-star, who has choreographed for both Michael and Janet Jackson.
The Pop Idol producer went on to add he had not necessarily approached Paula with an eye to her becoming a permanent judge.
This has sparked reports she might instead have a recurring role as a guest judge or choreographer.
Last week the first auditions for the new series of American Idol took place in Paula's absence, with guest judge Victoria Beckham making her debut.
"She was like my best buddy in the show," judge Simon Cowell said of the Opposites Attract singer.
"And you only realise how much you miss somebody when you're not there. I am sad."
