Michael Jackson's doctor returns to work

Thursday February 11, 2010

Conrad Murray - Michael Jackson's former doctor who is facing a manslaughter charge after the king of pop's death - has returned to his surgery in Nevada.

The medic was released on bail at $75,000 (£48,000) after pleading not guilty to "unlawfully" killing the star, at a Los Angeles court this week.

Following the court hearing, Dr Murray's lawyer says the 56-year-old intends "to keep practising medicine".

Despite his release, the physician is under strict instructions from the US judge.

"You may not under any circumstances use any anaesthetic agents, specifically Propofol," Judge Keith Schwartz told him.

If convicted of manslaughter, Dr Murray faces four years in prison. He is due back in court in April.
