X Factor bossess have announced that Cheryl Cole will pre-record her performance of new single Fight For This Love for this Saturday's live results show.
It will be the first time in her professional career she has ever performed on her own in front of a crowd.
A spokesman for the show confirmed: "Cheryl will be recording her music performance earlier in the day with a live studio audience to ensure she can fully continue with her judging commitments on The X Factor later that evening."
It's believed Geordie lass will mime the majority of the song during the recording before the evening show, but will sing over some sections.
Cheryl performed live last year on the programme with her Girls Aloud bandmates, but the performance drew a mixed reception from critics, who said the vocals were slightly off in places.
This week the 26-year-old admitted she felt jittery about her solo debut.
"I'm absolutely terrified, she told Radio One DJ Chris Moyles.
"The nerves started weeks ago. I love performing but I've sat for weeks judging people, and then I'm putting myself out there to be judged and it's a weird feeling."
