Jenny Agutter has revealed that when she was living in Hollywood earlier in her career she was told she needed to have plastic surgery.
The actress, who currently stars in Call The Midwife, moved to Hollywood aged 21. During the 17 years she was living there, Jenny experienced first hand how obsessed the LA industry is with looking perfect.
Jenny, who reached fame as Roberta in The Railway Children, told OK!: "I remember once being told to go to a plastic surgeon.
"Apparently I don't have very high cheekbones and in the wrong lighting it could make my eyes look puffy, but I could easily get it seen to."
However Jenny refused to get any work done, telling the mag. "Honestly! Why would I want to cut my face? It's mad."
While in America, Jenny appeared in films such as Logan's Run, Equus and The Eagle Has Landed, before moving back to the UK where she has since starred in successful TV series such as Spooks.
